What is your greatest personal achievement?
I mustered the funds and guts to fly alone to a country halfway around the world and live there for six months, during which time I established personal and professional contacts around the world; learned to surf; had personal encounters with whales, sharks and turtles; mastered driving on the left side of the road while shifting gears with my left hand; and got published in a national daily newspaper.

If you were Carmen Sandiego and could steal one thing in or about Wisconsin to hoard for yourself, what would it be?
The north woods in the fall – the colors, the smell and the gentle bite of just-getting-chilly autumn air.

If you could change just one thing about Wisconsin, what would it be?
The state would be bordered by ocean on at least one side. I’m thinking the south. <wink to all you Illinois-ans> Then we could be surfing instead of stopping (at toll booths).
