Founded in Madison, LÜM aims to disrupt the current trends of the music industry.  Derek Zenger, LÜMs marketing director, says the app allows for independent and emerging artists to take control in their careers. With LÜM, artists have the opportunity to connect with and develop relationships with one another and listeners.

Artist:

There is no hard and fast rule that qualifies you to be an artist. Once you sign up as one you get the ability to upload your music in a DIY interface, meaning you own it all.
  • Take control of your sound, all rights to your songs stay with you. Removing a song from LÜM is entirely up to the artist.
  • Meet and join artists similar to you. LÜM offers artists the opportunity to learn from one another and collaborate to produce content.

It’s simple, join LÜM has a musician and you are given a back-end portal to upload and serve music to future fans.

Fan:

As a fan, it’s all about selecting the genres and searching to find new artists and music to add to the daily mix.

  • LÜM allows for you to become the music promoter. Follow your new favorite artist from the start — before they make it big.
  • Don’t pull out that credit card. LÜM is a free app with no audio ads and no barriers to access certain features

It’s simple: Join LÜM as a fan and handpick the types of music you are interested in. Put in those headphones and start searching. 

Additionally, LÜM has a partnership with FPC Live that helped establish LÜM and brought FPC Live into digital streaming.

Connecting live entertainment and streaming, together these companies are able to provide emerging artists a platform to grow and a stage to perform on. This partnership drives tangible growth for artists on LÜM.

Looking forward

With a recent move to New York after the launch of its full-service app, LÜM is breaking through the ceiling of music streaming and beginning to make some noise.
