The Art of Falling

When diving, Andrew faces fear every day. There is an understanding that what he’s doing could have serious consequences if he messes up. With the fear, there also comes the feeling of elation after doing something really frightening. Sometimes the dive isn’t actually as scary as he thinks it will be, but other times it is. Whether the fear is rational or not, it is a part of the sport and allows him to put other things in his life into perspective.
The following is a poem written by Andrew Pearce, one of Curb‘s online associates, about his diving experience and the risk that comes with it.
