Letter from the Editor
Editor in Chief Kelly Doyle

For years, I’ve fought it. I wouldn’t give in. No matter how hard my parents begged or my friends pleaded, I was the girl who wanted to grow up ASAP and move to some faraway metropolis. I wanted to get away from the cheese, from the beer, from the overly friendly cashiers at the supermarket.

But I’m a fraud. The things I wanted to escape, I actually love. It’s finally dawned on me how much I love this place. And not only do I love the state I’ve called home for 12 years, but I want others to love it too.

Here at curb, I like to think we capture that same spirit. From local heroes and innovators to world-renowned restaurateurs and hometown musicians, curb brings you all the facets that make this state worthy of your time and exploration.

Best of all, curb has the answers to your most nagging lifestyle questions. Are you ready for a move, but can’t fathom leaving the state? Check out Ashley Voss’ piece on Milwaukee’s Third Ward or Amanda Buhman’s profile of the city of Hudson. Tired of your same old gym routine? Stephanie Lehrman’s got a new workout for you. It’s time to enjoy your life and Wisconsin’s fresh lifestyle magazine is the way to get started.
