The Pasta Tree is a Milwaukee classic. The restaurant itself began as a “choose your own” establishment when owners Robert Fontecchio and Steve Gustafson began making a few fresh pastas and sauces that diners could mix and match, a tradition they keep to today. Fontecchio said, “We see a lot of dates and lot of proposals here in our restaurant.” (But let’s not think that far ahead!) He attributes it to the “sensual food” they serve. They dish out their passion for food in the delicious, generous servings of homemade pasta and sauce and their rich, smooth tiramisu. It’s been a winning combination for more than 22 years.
